Duties

  • Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans tailored to each child's needs, ensuring compliance with CQC standards.

  • Coordinate and oversee daily care activities, ensuring high\-quality support is delivered consistently.

  • Supervise and mentor care staff, fostering a positive team environment and promoting best practices in child care.

  • Liaise effectively with families, social workers, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate holistic support.

  • Monitor the wellbeing of children and young people, responding promptly to any concerns or changes in their condition.

  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, up\-to\-date, and maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the care setting to enhance service quality and safety standards.

  • Maintain compliance with legal frameworks including safeguarding policies and health \& safety regulations.
Experience
  • Proven experience working within a care home or senior care environment specialising in children or young people.

  • Supervising or leadership experience within a social care setting is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrable experience in developing and managing care plans tailored to individual needs.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with children, families, professionals, and team members.

  • Proficiency in IT systems utilised for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes.

  • Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between different care settings or appointments.

  • Knowledge of CQC regulations relevant to children’s services is essential.
