Care Assistant (Nights)

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our night team based in our lovely 22 bed residential home on Hoylake seafront. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered across two 12 hour shifts per week. The chosen candidate must be flexible and able to work alternative weekends. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for patients while working in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

Duties

• Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.


• Ensuring the safety of our residents through out the night and dealing with other healthcare professionals where necessary.


• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols and in\-house cleaning records.


• Ensuring all care records are updated and legible for each resident at all times.


• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, helping to alleviate anxiety or distress.


• Assist with feeding and hydration as required, ensuring dietary needs are met.


• Participate in online training courses to ensure competence within the role.


• Working along side other team members and communicating with all staff to deliver the best quality care.

Experience

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.


• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members.


• A caring and empathetic nature, with a commitment to providing high\-quality patient care.


• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations.


• Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a healthcare environment is advantageous.
