Financial Controller

Location: Wirral

We are currently looking for an experienced and well\-established Financial Controller to join one of our clients based at their Wirral Head Office. The company is a growing organisation, and the business operates within the modular manufacturing and construction sector, delivering high\-quality, innovative building solutions across the UK.

The Role

Due to continued growth within the company, we are seeking a strong Financial Controller to manage the finance team. This is a hands\-on role, suited to a commercially minded finance professional who can take ownership of the finance function, support operational decision\-making, and help drive business performance. The role will be varied and some key responsibilities include:

  • Financial Management \& Reporting

  • Cost Control \& Commercial Support

  • Compliance \& Controls

  • Cash Flow \& Treasury

  • Systems \& Process Improvement

  • Team \& Stakeholder Management

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a professional who will be able to step into the role and make an impact from their first day, you will have a proven background and experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar senior finance role. No day is the same so someone who enjoys working under a fast paced and everchanging environment would succeed in this role. Some other ideal key skills would be:

  • Experience within building construction or manufacturing

  • Strong management accounting and financial reporting background

  • Excellent Excel and financial analysis skills

  • Commercially focused with a practical, hands\-on approach

  • Ideally must be CIMA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience

  • Experience with job costing, WIP, or manufacturing costings

  • ERP or finance system implementation experience

  • Previous experience in an SME or owner\-managed environment

  • Please note this role is office based.
