Care Assistant Days\- Required at Birkin Lodge Nursing Home in Tunbridge Wells, Part of the Country Court Family

Hours: Days 44 Hours per week available, working weekends on rota (Shift Times 07:30 to 19:30\)
Located in Tunbridge Wells \& just 10 minutes from the train station, Birkin Lodge Nursing Home offers compassionate family\-led nursing \& residential care. Led by the manager, the staff create an environment for the residents where they feel comfortable \& safe.

ABOUT THE CARE ASSISTANT ROLE
Within the Care Assistant role, you can really make a difference to our residents’ lives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Helping our residents with personal support and care
- Aiding their emotional well\-being and social needs
- Supporting residents at meals time
- Interacting with our residents on a personal level
- Maintaining and developing the residents care plan to ensure their needs are met
Our fantastic staff are at the heart of our homes \& provide vital day\-to\-day support to our residents, so we would love to hear from those who really do want to make a difference to people’s lives.
- Be no stranger to working long shifts
- Have good written \& verbal communication skills
- Able to engage well with the residents and their families
- Have an understanding of people with Dementia.
- Experience as a Care Assistant is preferred but not essential
- Have an NVQ Level 2 in Health \& Social care or be willing to work towards this.
