Care Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals within care homes or providing home care services. Duties

• Assisting residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility


• Supporting individuals with their care plans to ensure personalised and effective care delivery


• Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance wellbeing


• Assisting with medication management in accordance with care plans


• Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems


• Supporting clients with light household tasks and errands, including shopping and appointments


• Communicating effectively with colleagues, clients, and their families to ensure consistent and compassionate care


• Supporting clients to appointments or activities when required, ensuring safe transportation

Requirements

• Experience working within a care home or providing home care services is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for those new to the sector


• Good organisational skills in managing care plans and daily routines


• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication


• Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans digitally


• Excellent communication skills with the ability to empathise and build rapport with clients of all ages and backgrounds


• A caring attitude, patience, and reliability are essential qualities for success in this role
