Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities

• Assist residents and clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support


• Monitor patients’ health by taking vital signs, observing symptoms, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare professionals


• Support medication administration following HIPAA regulations and care plans established by nurses or medical staff


• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal service


• Maintain cleanliness of the living environment through regular cleaning duties to promote hygiene and safety


• Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s \<PERSON\> to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance


• Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to foster emotional well\-being


• Document patient observations accurately and contribute to ongoing care plans


• Follow safety protocols including CPR, first aid, and infection control procedures at all times


• Support patients with specialized needs such as dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, autism spectrum disorders, or developmental disabilities with patience and understanding


• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and adherence to care plans


• Assist with patient monitoring during hospice or palliative care situations as required

Qualifications

• Prior experience in group home settings, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home \& community care is highly preferred


• Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs measurement


• Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance or dementia care are advantageous


• Experience working with individuals with disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, autism spectrum disorders or memory care needs is desirable


• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary


• Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and resident interaction


• Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others


• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
