Care Assistant

Ashmeade is a small, private family home with 18 clients. We are looking for someone who is reliable and caring to work as part of the team to ensure that clients needs are met.

Position being advertised is a Care Assistant \- Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care, or willing to complete Care Certificate \& experience of working in the care sector is required. The shifts consists of working early and late shifts, and working alternate weekends. Contracted hours per week is 21 but there are almost always extra hours available each week to cover holidays etc.

Duties include:\-

Assisting clients with all aspects of their personal care,

Kitchen duties following a menu and being able to cook simple, home cooked food.

Laundry duties.

Assisting clients to participate in activities and maintain their links to family and their community.

This position could lead to progression to senior level.

Summary

As a Care Assistant, you will be instrumental in providing compassionate support to individuals in care homes or through home care services. Reporting to the Care Manager, your role involves assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and ensuring the well\-being of clients. With a Level 2 qualification in Health \& Social Care and a Care Certificate, you will leverage your core skills in personal care and communication, along with premium skills like IT, to enhance the quality of life for those you serve.
