Thank you for your interest in the post of Retail Coordinator at Pendleside Hospice. This is a
great time to join our retail team. As part of our plans for 2026, we’re expanding our retail
operation, with one new shop already opened this year, our first department store opening
soon and more to follow!
We are ideally looking for someone with charity retail experience and hope you find all the
information you need in this pack to help you decide if you are the right person for this
inspiring and exciting role.
On a day to day basis you will support the stores full time manager, assisting in managing a
team of volunteers, you will relish the challenge of improving profitability as well as ensuring
the smooth running of your shop. Engaging with supporters and our local community brings
with it a sense of pride and achievement whilst feeling like you are making a real difference.
It is important that we point out that you must be able to prioritise a changing workload and
be flexible to meet the demands of the business and nature of the role. Having a full UK
driving licence and own transport is essential.
This is a 25 hours per week position, worked between Monday and Sunday. Flexibility will
be essential, as will the ability to apply your skills with positivity and enthusiasm; you will
have the communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to thrive in a friendly
