Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe Manager to oversee daily operations within a vibrant café environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food and hospitality, and a proven track record in managing food service establishments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and maintain high standards of food safety and quality.
The candidate will need to have some kitchen experience as cooking will be a large part of the requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of café operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Supervise and motivate team members, including baristas, kitchen staff, and servers, to deliver outstanding service
- Oversee food production, preparation, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality in line with company standards
- Coordinate daily tasks such as cooking, food preparation, serving customers, and ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Implement health and safety regulations related to food safety and hygiene practices
- Monitor financial performance, including sales targets and cost control measures
- Develop staff training programmes to enhance skills in food safety, customer service, and culinary techniques
- Foster a welcoming environment that promotes excellent hospitality and customer satisfaction
- Prepare buffets for collection and delivery
- Develop and maintain a strong social media presence for the cafe
- Proven management or supervisory experience within a restaurant or café setting
- Extensive knowledge of food production, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
- Experience in food preparation, serving, and barista roles is highly desirable
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Background in hospitality or culinary arts is preferred
- Demonstrated experience in supervising staff within a fast\-paced environment
- Familiarity with health \& safety standards relevant to the food industry
Monday to Friday 8:30\-3pm
Pay: £22,500\.00 per year
