About the Role
------------------
We’re looking for a proactive and commercially minded Buyer for a 6 months interim contract to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and executing end\-to\-end category strategies that deliver value, drive savings, and manage risk across the business.
You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to optimize sourcing activities, lead strategic procurement initiatives, and ensure best\-in\-class contract and supplier management practices.
What You’ll Do
------------------
As a buyer, you will:
- Deliver category plans, category sourcing events and commercial contract management for centrally managed and led categories
- Assist in development of category strategies and IP for centrally led categories
- Develop effective relationships with key functional stakeholders
- Support adoption of the commercial and procurement ways of working, policies and processes within central category teams
- Support category planning, category sourcing, commercial and contract management for corporate categories
- Build constructive, collaborative relationships with colleagues
- Support major category projects, identify, and manage category level risks
- Achieve all cost reduction saving targets and support KPI metrics reporting.

We’re looking for someone who combines strong analytical thinking with excellent stakeholder management skills.
Experience
--------------
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management
- Experience in running large/complex sourcing activities 3\-5 years
- Experience in commercial risk management across multiple categories
- Project management experience
Skills \& Competencies
- Solid understanding of procurement and sourcing methodologies
- Strong analytical skills with experience using KPIs and performance metrics
- Ability to interpret market dynamics and supplier landscapes
- Confident influencing and engaging senior stakeholders
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
Nice to Have
- Experience in sustainable or responsible procurement practices
- Exposure to centrally managed or corporate category structures
