Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and commercially driven Business Development Manager to support the growth of our parts division. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strong customer relationships, and expanding our presence across key transport and logistics markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities within the commercial vehicle and logistics sector
- Build and maintain strong relationships with fleet operators, workshops, and transport companies
- Promote SDC Truck \& Trailer Parts’ full product range and service offering
- Manage and grow a pipeline of sales opportunities using CRM systems
- Conduct regular client visits, presentations, and product demonstrations
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements
- Work closely with internal sales, branch teams, and procurement to ensure customer satisfaction
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
- Achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets
- Proven experience in business development or B2B sales (automotive, transport, or parts industry preferred)
- Strong negotiation and relationship\-building skills
- Commercial awareness with a results\-driven mindset
- Ability to manage a sales pipeline and meet targets
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Self\-motivated and able to work independently
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Experience in truck, trailer, automotive, or aftermarket parts industry
- Existing network within logistics or fleet management sectors
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle operations
