Bfriend and Wellbeing project coordinator

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and developing Bfriend and Wellbeing activity from the Fleetwood office, however team huddles will be at our Blackpool office.

The role will involve working directly with participants, volunteers, community organisations and partner agencies to identify local needs, develop opportunities and strengthen community connections.

The postholder will support the delivery of Bfriend \&Wellbeing's core aims while helping to establish and grow the service within Fleetwood.

The successful candidate will be organised, approachable and community\-focused, with the ability to build positive relationships with people from a wide range of backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

1\. Project Coordination

 Coordinate the day\-to\-day delivery of Bfriend \& Wellbeing activity within Fleetwood.

 Support the development of local services, activities and opportunities that reduce

loneliness and isolation.

 Assist with planning and delivering community groups, activities, events and outreach

sessions.

 Ensure activities are accessible, inclusive and responsive to local needs.

 Monitor participation and engagement.

 Identify gaps in local provision and opportunities for development.

 Support the implementation of new initiatives and projects.

2\. Participant Support

 Meet with individuals referred to Bfriend \&Wellbeing and identify their needs,

interests and goals.

 Support participants to access appropriate Bfriend services, community groups and

wider support.

 Encourage people experiencing loneliness and isolation to build confidence and

develop social connections.

 Carry out appropriate follow\-up and wellbeing checks.

 Support individuals to move towards greater independence and community

participation.

 Maintain appropriate professional boundaries at all times.

3\. Volunteer Coordination

 Work alongside the Volunteer Coordinator/Volunteer Support team to recruit and

support volunteers within Fleetwood.

 Help identify suitable volunteering opportunities.

 Support volunteers involved in Fleetwood activities and groups.

 Ensure volunteers understand their responsibilities, boundaries and safeguarding

requirements.

 Encourage volunteers to contribute ideas to the development of local services.

 Support volunteer engagement and retention.

4\. Community Development

 Build strong relationships with community groups, local organisations, statutory

services, businesses and other partners.

 Develop partnership opportunities that benefit Bfriend participants and the wider

community.

 Promote Bfriend \& Wellbeing throughout Fleetwood.

 Attend local networking events and partnership meetings.

 Identify opportunities for collaborative projects.

 Represent Bfriend \& Wellbeing professionally within the local community.

5\. Groups, Activities and Events

 Support the development and delivery of regular Fleetwood\-based groups and

activities.

 Encourage participant involvement in planning and shaping activities.

 Organise or assist with community events and engagement activities.

 Ensure appropriate risk assessments and safeguarding arrangements are in place.

 Encourage intergenerational and community participation where appropriate.

 Monitor attendance and gather participant feedback.

6\. Referrals and Signposting

 Develop positive relationships with referral partners.

 Respond appropriately to referrals into the service.

 Complete initial conversations/assessments in line with organisational procedures.

 Identify appropriate support and signpost or refer individuals to other services where

necessary.

 Work collaboratively with social prescribing, wellbeing, community and voluntary

sector services.

7\. Monitoring and Evaluation

 Maintain accurate and timely records of participant and project activity.

 Record referrals, engagement, attendance, outcomes and volunteer involvement.

 Use the organisation's monitoring systems appropriately.

 Contribute to monitoring and evaluation of the Bfriend \& Wellbeing project.

 Collect participant feedback and evidence of impact.

 Contribute information and statistics to regular project reports.

 Support the organisation to demonstrate the difference the project makes to people's

lives.

8\. Safeguarding

 Follow Bfriend \& Wellbeing safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.

 Recognise and report safeguarding concerns promptly.

 Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with participants and volunteers.

 Attend safeguarding training and maintain up\-to\-date knowledge.

 Ensure activities and visits are undertaken safely and in accordance with

organisational procedures.

 Escalate concerns to the appropriate manager/safeguarding lead.

9\. Partnership and Team Working

 Work closely with the Bfriend \& Wellbeing team across Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde.

 Attend team meetings and contribute to service development.

 Share information appropriately with colleagues.

 Support other members of the team when required.

 Work collaboratively rather than operating the Fleetwood project as a standalone

service.

 Contribute ideas and good practice to the wider Bfriend and Wellbeing service.

Expected hours: 18\.5 per week
