Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar senior supervisor to carry out the daily operations of our bar establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment for patrons. The successful applicant will play a key role in driving the success of our venue through effective team management and operational excellence.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar staff, including bartenders, servers.
- support in the bar’s inventory, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health \& safety standards across all operations.
- Organise staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours while optimising labour costs.
- Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality, serving customers efficiently, and resolving any issues promptly.
- Deliver and oversee the preparation of beverages, including cocktails, soft drinks, and specialised drinks menus.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with management to develop promotional activities and optimise sales strategies.
- Train new team members in food safety procedures, customer service protocols, and operational standards.
- Proven 2 plus years experience in restaurant or hospitality supervisor/manager roles, ideally within a bar or similar environment.
- Background in food preparation, cooking, and food production processes.
- Demonstrable supervising experience with team management capabilities.
- Good knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
- Experience in serving customers in a hospitality setting with a focus on exceptional service delivery.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Previous experience in culinary roles such as kitchen experience or hotel experience is advantageous.
- Skills in organising staff schedules and managing operational logistics efficiently.
