Bar/Restaurant General Manager

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our vibrant bar. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, food and beverage service, and team leadership. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team, ensure excellent customer experiences, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and service quality. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining operational efficiency, and creating a welcoming environment for guests.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate all bar staff, ensuring smooth daily operations


• Oversee food preparation and ensure quality standards are maintained


• Manage stock levels, order supplies, and control inventory to minimise waste


• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health \& safety standards


• Develop and implement training programmes for team members in service, food safety, and product knowledge


• Organise staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours


• Monitor customer service levels and address any issues promptly


• Create innovative cocktail menus and promotional events to attract patrons


• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with hygiene standards


• Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally

Experience

• Proven supervising experience within a hospitality environment, ideally in bars or restaurants


• Extensive restaurant experience with a strong understanding of food preparation, cooking, and food production processes


• Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively


• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality settings


• Experience in all aspects of advertising on social media


• Barista experience or familiarity with specialised beverage preparation is a plus


• Strong leadership qualities combined with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Pay: £35,000\.00\-£38,000\.00 per year
