Join Our CAMHS Team Band 6 CPN / Mental Health Practitioner

Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse, or experienced Mental Health Practitioner? Looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference?

The CAMHS Outpatient Team within LLR is seeking a motivated Band 6 practitioner to join our dynamic and supportive service. You will work with young people facing complex challenges, including those in foster or residential care, adopted children, unaccompanied asylum seekers, young people experiencing homelessness, and those involved in youth justice.

In this role, you will complete comprehensive mental health assessments, risk assessments, and develop care plans to support young people living in the community. You’ll collaborate closely with young people, their carers, and a highly skilled multi\-disciplinary team including Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychotherapists, and peer support workers.

We’re looking for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about delivering high\-quality, person\-centred care. The post is full time, permanent, and open to registered mental health nurses and therapeutic social workers.

We offer flexible working hours between 8am8pm, Monday to Friday.

Job Description Summary (Main duties and responsibilities)

To work as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) delivering comprehensive initial and ongoing assessment and treatment for children and young people, taking into account family context, mental health needs and identified risks.

Collaborate closely with MDT colleagues to determine the most appropriate care pathways and interventions, ensuring person\-centred and holistic care.

Liaise effectively with external agencies, including health, education and social care services, to support coordinated and integrated care planning.

Contribute to the development of others by supporting student learning, including providing supervision, shadowing opportunities and facilitating a positive learning environment.
