Accountabilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of backend developers working primarily with PHP (Symfony) and Golang, supporting technical growth and fostering a collaborative engineering culture.

  • Oversee backend project execution, ensuring timely delivery, code quality, and alignment with business objectives and Agile development processes.

  • Contribute to architectural decisions, coding standards, scalability improvements, and long-term technical strategy across backend systems and APIs.

  • Participate actively in hands-on backend development, including feature implementation, service optimization, refactoring, and troubleshooting production issues.

  • Collaborate closely with frontend, QA, DevOps, analytics, and product teams to ensure seamless project coordination and efficient delivery workflows.

  • Improve CI/CD pipelines, testing practices, documentation standards, and development workflows to enhance engineering efficiency and reliability.

  • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance development initiatives for backend engineers while helping scale the team effectively.

Requirements


  • 4+ years of professional backend development experience with strong expertise in PHP 7.4+ and Symfony framework development.

  • Hands-on experience developing services and components using Golang within scalable backend environments.

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, clean architecture principles, and backend system design.

  • Proven experience building and maintaining scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices architectures.

  • Solid knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, including query optimization and data modeling.

  • Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, Git workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Familiarity with automated testing methodologies including TDD, DDD, and messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.

  • Strong understanding of caching strategies, performance optimization techniques, and API integrations.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to manage priorities, mentor developers, and drive successful delivery outcomes.

  • Strong written communication skills and conversational English proficiency.

  • Previous experience in technical leadership, system design, or architecture review environments is considered an advantage.

  • Proactive mindset, strong problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
