With several exciting new projects underway, we’re expanding our team and looking for an Azure Data Engineer who wants to make a real impact within the Microsoft ecosystem.
Your job
- See the bigger picture and take the broader business context into account, rather than focuse on one problem for one business
- Translate business strategy and goals into scalable, futureproof data architectures
- Work proactively and design with the future in mind
- Communicate complex solutions in clear, accessible language
- Contribute to proposals and position yourself as a subject\-matter expert
- Share knowledge internally and externally, and represent LACO in pitches and discussions
Your job

- You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent
- You’re experienced with data consumption techniques from classic reporting to advanced analytics and AI (e.g. Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Machine Learning…)
- You have at least 3 years of experience with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake or Databricks
- You have at least 3 years of experience with Power BI and Azure Data Factory
- You are fluent in SQL, Python, Spark and DAX
- You’re familiar with data modelling techniques such as star schemas, dimensional modelling and Kimball methodology
- You’re experienced with agile development and DevOps practices
- You communicate clearly in Dutch and/or French and English, both written and spoken
Your skills
- You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent
