We are looking for a Principal Application Support Manager based in Diegem, Belgium, to lead the support, stability, and continuous improvement of mission\-critical applications within our Global Aviation IT environment.
In this highly visible role, you will act as a technical authority and service owner, driving complex initiatives, managing high\-impact incidents, and shaping the strategy for global platforms. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, influence decision\-making, and ensure our services meet the highest standards of performance and availability. .
How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

- Own end\-to\-end performance, availability, and reliability of mission\-critical global applications
- Ensure services consistently meet agreed SLAs, KPIs, and business expectations
- Lead major incident and recovery management, minimizing business disruption
- Proactively identify, analyse, and eliminate recurring incidents and root causes
- Act as a senior technical expert providing guidance on complex issues and solutions
- Contribute to architecture, design, and implementation of new systems and integrations
- Lead and support complex migrations, transitions, and transformation initiatives
- Drive continuous service improvement through monitoring, reporting, and optimization
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders and partners
- Act as a trusted advisor, influencing technical and strategic decisions
- Manage and coordinate global, cross\-functional teams and technical resources
- Ensure adherence to ITIL practices and internal processes across service operations
- Support and contribute to project delivery, ensuring timelines and objectives are met
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, scalability, and service quality
- Provide regular service reviews, reporting, and insights to senior stakeholders

- Extensive experience in application support within complex, global IT environments
- Proven track record managing mission\-critical systems and high\-availability services
- Strong experience leading large\-scale IT initiatives, migrations, or transformation programs
- Deep understanding of ITIL principles, incident, problem, and service management
- Solid technical knowledge across applications, infrastructure, and integrations
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive resolution effectively
- Experience working with global, cross\-functional, and distributed teams
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior levels
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Strong analytical thinking and data\-driven problem\-solving capabilities
- Ability to prioritise effectively in high\-pressure and fast\-paced environments
- Proactive mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement and innovation
- Experience with monitoring, reporting, and service performance optimisation
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PRINCE2, or technical certifications are an advantage
- Leadership mindset with the ability to guide, mentor, and coordinate without direct authority
