Assistant Manager
Job Overview:
We’re looking for an Assistant Manager to join our Team at The Barn pub, restaurant and award\-winning wedding venue.
As an independent business and not part of a chain, you’ll get the opportunity to be creative and share your ideas to grow sales.
Key duties:
- Restaurant and pub management and customer service
- Responding to emails re enquiries/bookings
- Managing event bookings
- Assess development needs, and train and coach staff
- Creativity to help grow sales
- Management or supervisory experience in the hospitality industry
- Must have good command of written English
- Good restaurant service training
- Reasonable computer skills
- Highly motivated
- Work well within a team

We have privately owned The Barn for over 30 years and have had the same General Manager throughout this time. The Barn is situated in an ideal location in the centre of Royal Tunbridge Wells, close to the train station with a stunning garden and characterful building.
In addition to our pub and restaurant business, we have developed an outstanding reputation for weddings and have been winners in the annual Kent Wedding Awards on 5 occasions and finalists every year since 2013\.
Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent
Pay: £32,000\.00\-£34,000\.00 per year
