Assistant General Manager

The Rum Fox – Grindleton, Lancashire

Salary: Competitive salary \+ generous tips
Job Type: Full\-time, Permanent

The Rum Fox is an award\-winning gastropub and one of the UK's leading dining destinations. We are looking for an experienced, passionate and driven Assistant General Manager to join our management team and help deliver exceptional food, service and guest experiences.

Working closely with the General Manager and senior leadership team, you will play a key role in the day\-to\-day running of the business, leading our front\-of\-house team and maintaining the high standards that The Rum Fox is known for.

Working Pattern

  • Wednesday: 3pm – Finish

  • Thursday: 10am – 5pm

  • Friday: 3pm – Finish

  • Saturday: 12pm – Finish

  • Sunday: 10am – 6pm

  • Monday: Off

  • Tuesday: Off

Additional time off: Thursday evenings and Sunday evenings free.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the General Manager in the overall operation of the business

  • Leading, motivating and developing the front\-of\-house team

  • Delivering exceptional customer service at all times

  • Managing service periods and ensuring smooth day\-to\-day operations

  • Training and coaching team members

  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and compliance

  • Assisting with stock control, rotas and business administration

  • Handling guest feedback professionally and effectively

What We're Looking For
  • Previous management or supervisory experience in hospitality

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • A passion for food, drink and customer service

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  • A positive, hands\-on attitude

  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
