Assistant Event Manager

We are seeking a proactive and detail\-oriented Assistant Event Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of a variety of events. Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of event plans, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and logistics
- Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal teams to ensure all aspects of the event are on schedule and meet quality standards
- Manage event budgets, track expenses, and assist with contract negotiations to optimize resources
- Support marketing efforts by promoting events through various channels and upselling additional services or packages
- Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring all elements are arranged according to specifications
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests and clients before, during, and after events
- Handle guest inquiries professionally and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Assist with event marketing strategies to maximize attendance and engagement
- Maintain organized records of contracts, vendor contacts, and event documentation
- Collaborate on fundraising initiatives or special projects that enhance the event experience
- Previous experience in event management, hospitality, catering, or related fields such as hotel or restaurant operations is preferred
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, marketing, upselling, and customer service are highly valued
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with diverse teams and clients
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and contract management is advantageous
- Experience in banquet management or guest services will be considered a plus
- Proven ability to work well within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail
