Packaging & Creative Graphic Designer (Full-Time)
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Packaging \& Creative Graphic Designer to join the LAB FACTOR team. We are looking for the right person, not the right qualifications, and therefore, we don’t have any qualification requirements. You’d be a great fit if you have experience in graphic design, particularly branding and packaging design, and are excited to work for a growing B2B beauty brand. Ideally, the perfect candidate will also have photography experience, particularly with staged and website product photography. Videography experience is desirable, but not essential.
What kind of projects can you expect to work on?
- Product packaging design. Such as designing product and PR boxes. This is a large part of the work you will be undertaking.
- Rebranding and collaboration projects;
- Print and digital design projects, including magazine adverts, leaflets, training manuals, catalogues, product guides, etc.
- Complete packaging requirements to a high standard and in a timely manner, maintaining both brand \& legal requirements;
- Create physical and digital mockups of packaging;
- Design of various other printed and digital materials (e.g leaflets, magazine adverts, catalogue design, etc) and liaising with suppliers for quotes and to track progress ;
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers, where necessary, to organise graphic design needs (e.g organise die lines, discuss project briefs, proofing etc).
- Working with the Social Media \& wider marketing team to create engaging visuals for our channels;
- General website and stylised product photography;
- Occasional video shooting \& editing requirements;
- Representing the business at various shows and events;
- Maintaining an organised file management system \& backing up files.
- Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Specifically InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, Photoshop \& Lightroom \- Premiere Pro \& After Effects are advantageous);
- Good photography \& flash lighting knowledge;
- A very keen eye for detail, appreciating the legal requirements needed for packaging;
- Exceptional organisational skills to fit well with our existing file management procedures;
- Previous experience using task management software, like Monday, Asana, ClickUp etc, is advantageous;
- Good communication skills to work with both internal members \& external contacts/suppliers;
- An understanding of cosmetic packaging regulations is advantageous but not essential.
- The ability to create 2D and 3D design renders of actual products is also advantageous, but not essential.
- Is knowledgeable about the beauty industry or has a desire to learn;
- Has a passion for graphic design and branding;
- Isn’t afraid to bring ideas forward and let us know how we can continually improve;
- Can self\-direct and plan own daily tasks based on project demand;.
- Adapts quickly to new briefs.
Founded in 2016, LAB FACTOR started as an online retailer of professional lash extension products and has grown into an established e\-commerce business within the professional beauty industry. We stock a mix of our own products and those from other brands (some of which we are the UK exclusive distributor for), mainly specialising in lash, brow, and waxing products for qualified therapists. We pride ourselves on being at the forefront of the industry and on our highly\-rated customer service. Today, we are still a small family\-based team.
Work Environment
LAB FACTOR is based in a warehouse in the Hampton Lovett Industrial Estate in Droitwich. You will be working in our upstairs office alongside our social team, where you will be given the equipment you need for your work (a large Mac desktop, camera equipment and a dedicated small photography studio).
We also have a fully fitted kitchen, where you will have access to a fridge\-freezer, hob, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser, and coffee machine.
There is no dress code. Dress in what makes you comfy!
The job role is 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday.
