Asbestos Surveyor (full time) – Up to £37,000 per annum *(DOE)*

R B Asbestos is a family run business who share a passion for providing a responsive, high\-quality service to clients. We’re a small, dynamic team based in Burnley, Lancashire, who work collaboratively to deliver asbestos compliance services to a diverse range of organisations throughout the UK. The majority of our surveys are Industrial \& Commercial with some Domestic work undertaken as well.

We are currently seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join our team.

The Role:

The role will suit a confident individual with strong communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting buildings for asbestos in accordance with legislation guidance and company procedures.

Experience:

Applicants must hold the following BOHS certification as a minimum, have extensive relevant experience in asbestos surveying duties and have a good working knowledge of current legislation and HSG264:

• Minimum 2/3 years’ experience preferred


• BOHS P402 qualified


• Housing Surveyors welcome at discretion

• Management, Refurbishment \& Demolition surveys, Re\-Inspections \& Asbestos Management Plans.


• Sampling in accordance with HSG264


• Report writing/accurate data uploading. (Alpha Tracker/Teams)


• Working to eventually advising clients of asbestos liabilities and management protocols

• Be prepared to work nationwide – Some trips away are required (shared amongst Surveyors)


• Be adaptable, courteous, organised, and self\-motivated \- prioritising workload accordingly


• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills


• Hold a full clean driving licence


• Have or be prepared to apply for police clearance and positive vetting clearance


• Distance from Office (Burnley) – 40 mile radius

Competitive salary, depending on skills and experience.

Paid travel – Door to door.

Overtime

Own Car Required \- Annual car allowance £4\.6k \+ mileage allowance (currently 0\.26p per mile)

Subsistence allowance for overnight stays

32 days annual leave (including bank holidays and 4 days Christmas shut down)
