About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Area Manager to lead a key operational area within our warehouse operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, driving operational performance, maintaining high safety standards, and leading a team to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership \& People Management

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of managers and colleagues.


• Create a positive, inclusive, and high\-performing workplace culture.


• Coach and develop future talent, supporting succession planning and career development.


• Ensure resources are effectively planned to meet operational demands.

Health \& Safety

• Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture.


• Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.


• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and training activities.


• Identify and address operational risks proactively.

Operational Performance

• Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) including safety, service, productivity, and engagement.


• Oversee inventory accuracy and stock integrity within the assigned area.


• Manage resource planning, forecasting, and labour requirements.


• Produce and analyse operational reports to drive performance improvements.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and service levels.


• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.


• Ensure operational standards, audits, and 5S principles are maintained.

Communication \& Stakeholder Management

• Build effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.


• Provide regular operational updates to senior leadership.


• Collaborate with other operational leaders to share best practices and drive site\-wide success.

• Proven experience in a warehouse, logistics, distribution, or manufacturing management role.


• Strong people leadership and team development skills.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.


• Experience managing KPIs, productivity, and operational performance.


• Strong problem\-solving and decision\-making capability.


• Good understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
