Overview

Crown Tree Services

Arboricultural Consultant \- Role Specification

Crown Tree Services is an established arboricultural company based in Essex, with over 15 years of experience in the industry. Over the past year, we have expanded our service offering to include arboricultural consultancy. Our current consultancy services include Quantified Tree Risk Assessments, tree inventory mapping, consultancy advice, and arboricultural site supervision.

Due to increasing demand from both new and existing clients, we are now seeking an experienced Arboricultural Consultant to lead and develop this area of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering professional, robust, and defensible arboricultural assessments in line with current best practice, industry standards, and relevant legislation.

Our client base includes private tree owners, commercial organisations, schools, and housing associations. While our work is primarily based in Essex and the surrounding areas, this role may require travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays.

As part of our growth plans, we aim to expand our consultancy services to cover the full spectrum of arboricultural work, including:

  • BS5837 surveys and associated reports

  • Insurance reports

  • Mortgage reports

  • Tree\-related subsidence investigations and reporting

  • Tree root investigations and reporting

  • Veteran tree management and planning

  • Decay detection (including Sonic Tomography and Microdrill)
Purpose and Scope of the Role

This is a key leadership role responsible for developing and managing the consultancy arm of the business. You will be expected to generate new leads, build client relationships, and deliver high\-quality consultancy services.

There is also potential for involvement in quoting for tree works and plant health care services, making this role particularly suited to candidates with a practical arboricultural background.

We are looking for a self\-motivated individual who is keen to lead and grow this part of the business, with the potential to build and manage a dedicated team in the future.
