Agricultural Engineer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Agricultural Engineer to join us. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining agricultural equipment and systems to improve efficiency and productivity on farms and related environments. Responsibilities

• Design and develop agricultural machinery and equipment, ensuring they meet operational requirements.


• Conduct fabrication, assembly, and installation of mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, welding, soldering, and schematics.


• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment such as excavators, forklifts, and other heavy machinery.


• Analyse schematics and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues with electrical systems and implement effective repairs.


• Carry out welding, fabrication, and mechanical assembly tasks to create customised solutions for agricultural applications.


• Operate heavy machinery including excavators and forklifts safely during installation or maintenance procedures.


• Provide excellent customer service by offering technical support and training on equipment operation when required.


• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations while maintaining a clean and organised work environment.


• Assist in the optimisation of equipment performance through regular inspections and proactive maintenance schedules.

• Proficient in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering.


• Strong understanding of schematics for electrical wiring and mechanical systems.


• Mechanical knowledge with experience in assembly, equipment repair, and maintenance.


• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators and forklifts.


• Electrical experience is highly desirable for troubleshooting electrical systems within agricultural equipment.


• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical fitness for demanding tasks.


• Excellent problem\-solving skills with a focus on innovative solutions in agricultural engineering contexts.


• Customer service skills to effectively communicate technical information to clients or team members.
