The Role – Depot Service Engineer, based at the Market Weighton Depot
We are looking for a Depot Service Engineer who is keen to progress their career within a market leading machinery manufacturer. In return GRIMME (UK) Ltd offers an excellent remuneration package and the opportunities to progress within a dynamic organisation.
Initial Responsibilities
As a Depot Service Engineer for GRIMME (UK) Ltd, your initial responsibilities will be:
- Machine repairs to our full range of equipment and non GRIMME equipment.
- Routine planned preventative maintenance.
- Machine PDI and Re\-specification to both new and used equipment.
- Delivering customer expectations in line with department targets.
- Mentoring of apprentice technicians (once up to speed personally).
- Completion of all tasks in a timely and profitable manner.
- Promotion of the brand and service department, always ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
- Any other duties as and when required by Management that are reasonably within the capabilities of the person and are aimed at achieving the company’s objectives and goals.
- To have resilience and to be able to maintain a positive outlook.
- Pragmatic thinker and solutions orientated.
- Ability to work in a fast\-paced demanding environment.
- To be able to prioritise tasks \& workload in priority order.
- Basic knowledge and experience of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
- Self\-motivation, strong communication skills, and a drive to embrace new challenges.
- Experience in an Agricultural environment would be advantageous, but not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.
- Proficiency in maintaining and repairing machinery using special tools and following approved technical procedures.
- Flexibility to adjust working hours during peak seasons
- To engage in additional training to further development and skills.
- A valid UK driving licence.

On target earnings: £35,220 \- £40,100 per annum
Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
Overtime rates available as follows:
Monday – Saturday \= time and a half
Sundays \& Bank Holidays \= double time
