Salary: Up to £95,000 per annum

Role overview

We are seeking a strategic and delivery\-focused Agile Delivery Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex digital initiatives across multiple teams and value streams. The Agile Delivery Manager is accountable for establishing effective delivery governance, enabling scaled Agile ways of working, driving predictable outcomes, and ensuring alignment between product, engineering, and business priorities. This role leads enterprise\-level risk and dependency management, strengthens delivery capability, and advances DevOps and continuous improvement practices to support sustainable, high\-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery across multiple teams, programmes, and value streams, ensuring alignment to organisational priorities, customer outcomes, and strategic roadmaps.

  • Support the VP of Delivery in portfolio\-level delivery governance including planning cadences, decision forums, dependency management, escalation paths, and clear standards for delivery reporting and release management.

  • Set and oversee enterprise risk management practices by defining risk tolerances, ensuring effective identification and analysis of risks, guiding mitigation strategies, and maintaining continuous monitoring across delivery portfolios.

  • Drive scaled Agile delivery by embedding fit\-for\-purpose frameworks, improving flow across teams, and ensuring delivery practices support adaptability, transparency, and business value.

  • Partner with senior and executive stakeholders to provide transparent portfolio reporting, support prioritisation decisions, and align delivery investment with business outcomes.

  • Champion enterprise DevOps maturity by sponsoring automation, improving release reliability, reducing operational silos, and enabling scalable engineering practices across teams.

  • Build organisational delivery capability through coaching, leadership development, role clarity, and consistent standards for Delivery Managers, Scrum Masters, and other delivery professionals.

  • Own performance and budget outcomes by using data to improve predictability, throughput, quality, and return on investment, while making effective decisions on resource use and delivery trade\-offs.

Experience
  • Significant experience leading Agile delivery across multiple teams, programmes, or portfolios in a complex product or technology environment.

  • Proven experience operating at senior leadership level, influencing prioritisation, governance, and delivery decisions across business and technology stakeholders.

  • Demonstrable experience establishing scaled delivery models and managing cross\-team dependencies, risks, and escalations in fast\-moving environments.

  • Experience with financial planning, budget accountability, or investment prioritisation in support of delivery outcomes.
Knowledge \& Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, Lean, and scaled delivery frameworks, with the judgment to apply governance proportionately across different teams and initiatives.

  • Knowledge of risk management practices aligned to PMI principles, including proactive risk identification, analysis, response planning, and ongoing monitoring.

  • Good understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, release management, and modern engineering practices that improve quality, resilience, and delivery speed.

  • Knowledge of portfolio metrics and performance measures such as flow, predictability, throughput, quality, risk exposure, and business value.

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and facilitation skills across senior stakeholder groups, delivery communities, and cross\-functional teams.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence strategic decisions and navigate organisational complexity.

  • Strong analytical and decision\-making skills, using data and insight to manage trade\-offs, prioritise investment, and improve delivery performance.

  • Ability to identify systemic issues, resolve complex delivery challenges, and create practical operating models that support sustainable scale.
Qualifications
  • Relevant Agile or scaled delivery certification such as SAFe, Scrum, Lean, or equivalent.

  • Risk, programme, or portfolio management certification such as PMI, PRINCE2, MSP, or equivalent is advantageous.

  • Background in technology delivery, engineering, or product\-led organisations is beneficial.
