We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner team at HMP Onley, a category C Prison located in Rugby. Working across 2 sites, 2 days at HMP Rye Hill, 3 days at HMP Onley.
HMP Onley has a population of 980 males
The Advanced Clinical Practitioner will hold (RCGP) Part 1 and Part 2 certification in Substance Misuse, demonstrating advanced knowledge and clinical competence in the management of drug and alcohol dependence
You will be an independent prescriber, confident in delivering evidence\-based pharmacological interventions across substance misuse and co\-occurring mental health conditions
Both sites offer:

- 37\.5 hours per week
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday based at HMP Onley
- Tuesday \& Thursday based at HMP Rye Hill
- 8am\-4pm
This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary between £59,677 \- £66,792 per annum FTE \- depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Advanced Clinical Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Demonstrate judgement in assessing and managing wide ranging and complex patient problems
- Provide clinical leadership for the mental health team, This multi\-disciplinary team is made up of a variety of
- You will act as a role model ensuring professional appearance and maintaining
- Supporting senior clinicians on site you will be part of the daily leadership team, providing clinical input for all patients
- As a clinical expert in your field, you will work with the team to ensure; patient safety, the management of complex cases and ensure the most up to date treatment methodology is applied to patient care.

Qualifications required:
- Registered Nurse \- NMC in Adult or Mental Health
- Independent/supplementary prescriber qualification
- RSCP Part 1 \& 2 is Essential
- Experience in Substance Misuse prescribing is Essential
- MSc in Advanced Practice
- Experience working autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner following best practice
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
