Job Summary
We are seeking a Buyer to manage the procurement of goods and services for our organisation. The Buyer will evaluate suppliers, monitor inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards. Responsible for sourcing and purchasing products or materials, negotiating with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms
- Purchase goods, materials, and services according to company needs
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing requirements
- Maintain strong supplier relationships
- Track orders and resolve delivery or quality issues
- Analyse market trends and pricing changes
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and budgets
- Prepare purchasing reports and maintain procurement records
- Collaborate with internal departments such as finance, operations, and warehouse teams
- Proven experience as a Buyer, Purchasing Officer, or Procurement Specialist
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent organisational abilities
- Proficiency in procurement and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management
- Attention to detail and cost control
- Problem\-solving and decision\-making skills
