Teaching Assistant (1:1 SEN Support) - Nursery/Pre-School

• Location: Wyre Primary School


• Start Date: ASAP (Ideally Monday)


• Hours: 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 12:00pm - 3:00pm


• Contract: Initially 3 months, with potential to continue

Join this gorgeous Primary School as a Teaching Assistant, providing dedicated 1:1 support for a nursery-aged pupil with additional needs. This role is crucial in supporting a young child with significant developmental challenges, ensuring their safety, learning, and social development within the nursery setting.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout nursery sessions.


• Assist the pupil in engaging with activities and achieving learning milestones.


• Implement strategies to meet the child's individual needs in collaboration with nursery staff and SEN professionals.


• Foster the pupil's independence, communication, and social skills.


• Ensure the child's safety and inclusion within the nursery environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working with children, ideally within an Early Years or SEN setting.


• Confidence in supporting children with additional needs.


• A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach to childcare.


• Ability to build positive relationships with young children and staff.


• Commitment to tailored, 1:1 support for a child with significant needs.
