We sell a wide range of carefully selected used cars and offer finance, part exchange, online reservation, delivery, click \& collect, and servicing and MOT. We're also hiring for Workshop Controller / Service Advisor at our Tring site. The role You'll be the link between our customers and our technicians, keeping the workshop full, organised and profitable. You'll run the diary, quote and order parts, keep customers updated and make sure invoices and trade accounts are paid. Key responsibilities \- Run the workshop diary in Techman: bookings, job allocation and realistic completion times \- Prepare quotes and get customer approval before extra work goes ahead \- Order parts and check they arrive on time and are correct \- Keep the workshop loaded, balancing customer, trade, warranty and stock\-car preparation work \- Keep customers updated with accurate information from the technicians – no guessed ETAs \- Manage trader accounts, raise invoices and chase payments \- Check job cards are complete and closed off correctly What we're looking for Essential: \- Experience as a service advisor, workshop controller or in a similar garage/dealership role \- Organised, calm under pressure and good on the phone \- Enough technical knowledge to explain work clearly to customers \- Confident with workshop/booking systems, email and spreadsheets \- Full UK driving licence Nice to have: \- Experience of Techman \- Parts ordering and supplier experience \- IMI or similar service advisor qualification What we offer \- Pay: Market rate, dependent on experience \- A central role in a growing two\-site business \- 28 days' paid holiday a year, including bank holidays (pro rata) \- Workplace pension (auto\-enrolment) How to apply Email your CV to recruitment@hrcars.uk with the job title and site in the subject line, or apply through the job board where you saw this advert.
