Wellbeing Practitioner for Children and Young People (WP CYP)

CYPMH Dorset is in an exciting period of growth and transformation with investment supporting delivery in line with THRIVE principles , including enhanced pathways for Getting Help, Getting More Help, Getting Risk Support and a new Integrated Front Door. CAMHS Gateway is currently an assessment and brief intervention service across Dorset, providing high\-quality assessments and brief, needs\-led, evidence\-based interventions for young people and their families. In the newly transformed thrive\-aligned CYP Mental Health Service, the Wellbeing Practitioner role will sit in the Getting Help quadrant. You will have the skills and values to work in an inclusive, person\-centred service, with a strong commitment to CYP IAPT principles and supporting young people and families.
In this role, you will manage a caseload, deliver individual and group interventions, work with families, and receive regular line management, and clinical skills supervision. You will also contribute to developing innovative ways to engage young people.

This role is a full\-time post; we would welcome part\-time applicants with a minimum of 22\.5 hours. As working will be a mix of online and face to face delivery, we promote and support hybrid working. This role is based in West Dorset.
Committed to providing high\-quality, brief evidence\-based treatment interventions for children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties.
Be familiar with the CYP IAPT core principles and have the relevant specialist training
Experience of working with children, young people and families who experience mental health difficulties, especially depression and anxiety.
You'll need to be able to facilitate group work and we will offer to train you if you don't have this experience yet
You'll be a car driver with access to a car (we work in a beautiful rural area and take our groups where they are needed most)
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
