Warehouse Supervisor – Ecommerce
Busy ecommerce warehouse \| 35\+ team \| Up to 15,000 orders per day
We’re looking for a hands\-on Warehouse Supervisor to help lead our warehouse team and keep a busy ecommerce operation running smoothly.
This is very much a shop\-floor role. You’ll be organising people, monitoring performance, solving problems and making sure orders keep moving.
We need someone who is good with people, organised, confident making decisions and comfortable holding people accountable when standards aren't being met.
The Role
Working alongside the Warehouse Manager and other Supervisors, you'll be responsible for running your team and making sure the daily plan is delivered.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and motivating warehouse staff throughout the shift
- Allocating staff across picking, packing, replenishment and other warehouse areas
- Making sure daily and hourly productivity targets are achieved
- Monitoring individual performance and addressing issues as they happen
- Moving staff between areas when volumes and priorities change
- Making sure orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time
- Training and supporting new starters
- Coaching existing team members and helping them improve
- Making sure warehouse processes and procedures are followed
- Monitoring quality and dealing with recurring errors
- Managing breaks and keeping sufficient cover across the operation
- Spotting bottlenecks and acting quickly to keep work flowing
- Keeping the Warehouse Manager updated on performance and any issues
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and Health \& Safety
- Leading by example and being visible and approachable on the warehouse floor
You don't need to have worked in exactly the same type of warehouse, but you should have experience supervising or leading people in a fast\-paced environment.

- Is organised and able to manage changing priorities
- Is comfortable working with warehouse systems and productivity figures
- Communicates clearly with both staff and management
- Can train and develop team members
- Doesn't wait to be told about every problem — sees it and acts
- Stays calm when volumes increase and the pressure is on
- Takes pride in running an organised, productive team

Our 100,000 sq ft warehouse has a core team of 35\+ people, increasing significantly during peak periods, with volumes reaching up to 15,000 orders per day.
