At The Delivery Group, we're looking for an enthusiastic and driven Bulk Shift Supervisor to lead our night shift operation at our Luton Hub. About the Role

Reporting to the Hub Manager, you will take responsibility for the day\-to\-day management of the Bulk Mail operation during your shift. You will lead by example, creating a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement whilst ensuring operational targets are delivered safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and support a team of warehouse operatives to deliver operational excellence.

  • Monitor productivity, quality and service performance against agreed targets.

  • Allocate resources effectively to meet daily workload demands.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures and Health \& Safety standards.

  • Conduct shift briefings and maintain strong communication across the operation.

  • Coach, develop and support team members to maximise performance and engagement.

  • Manage attendance, timekeeping and employee performance in line with company policies.

  • Complete operational and payroll administration accurately and on time.

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and service delivery.

  • Work collaboratively with managers and colleagues across the wider operation.

  • Support the delivery of customer service and operational performance objectives.

  • Remain hands\-on within the operation when required to ensure service commitments are achieved.
About You

We're looking for a confident people leader who can build strong working relationships, inspire teams and deliver results in a fast\-moving environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a warehouse, logistics, mail, parcels or distribution environment.

  • Experience of managing operational performance and achieving productivity targets.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.

  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

  • Good problem\-solving and decision\-making skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

  • Good standard of English and Mathematics.

  • Flexible approach to working hours to support operational requirements.
Desirable Requirements
  • Experience within a Downstream Access (DSA) mail environment.

  • Knowledge of mail, parcel or e\-commerce fulfilment operations.

  • Experience of coaching and developing operational teams.
