Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking an organised and proactive Warehouse Manager to oversee the storage, maintenance, movement, and control of catering equipment, consumables, and stock for our catering operations. The successful candidate will ensure all equipment and supplies are available, clean, safe, and delivered on time to support events and daily catering activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day\-to\-day operations of the catering warehouse and storage areas.


• Maintain accurate inventory records for catering equipment, beverages, linen, and consumables.


• Monitor stock levels and coordinate purchasing or replenishment when required.


• Organise the preparation, loading, and dispatch of equipment for events and catering functions.


• Supervise the return process, checking equipment for cleanliness, damage, and completeness.


• Ensure all catering equipment is properly stored, maintained, and handled safely.


• Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits.


• Coordinate equipment repairs, servicing, and replacement when necessary.


• Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with health and safety regulations.


• Manage warehouse staff, drivers, and casual staff where applicable.


• Work closely with the catering operations team to ensure smooth event logistics.


• Implement systems to minimise stock loss, breakage, and wastage.


• Prepare inventory and operational reports for management.

• Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or stock management, preferably in catering, hospitality, or events.


• Strong organisational and time\-management skills.


• Experience using inventory or warehouse management systems.


• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast\-paced environment.


• Good leadership and team supervision skills.


• Knowledge of health \& safety procedures and manual handling.


• Physically fit and able to lift and move catering equipment.


• Strong communication and problem\-solving abilities.


• Forklift licence or warehouse certification is an advantage.
