The Opportunity

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative who is eager to learn, develop, and build a career within the logistics and distribution industry.

This role is primarily based within our warehouse operation, where you'll play a vital part in ensuring customer orders are picked, prepared, and dispatched accurately and efficiently.

However, what makes this role different is the opportunity to progress into driving.

While an HGV Licence is preferred, it is not essential. For the right candidate, we are prepared to invest in HGV driver training and support you in gaining your Class C Licence, helping you develop valuable skills and open up future career opportunities within the Encon Group.

Once qualified, you'll also provide driving cover for holidays, sickness, and peak periods, giving you the opportunity to gain practical driving experience while continuing to support warehouse operations.

What You'll Be Doing

Warehouse Operations (Primary Role)

• Picking, packing and preparing customer orders.


• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.


• Receiving, checking and storing stock.


• Maintaining a safe, organised and clean warehouse environment.


• Supporting colleagues to ensure excellent customer service.


• Following all Health \& Safety procedures and company standards.

• Delivering products safely and professionally to customers.


• Providing holiday and sickness cover.


• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects.


• Ensuring compliance with Drivers' Hours, Working Time and DVSA regulations.


• Acting as a professional ambassador for the business when visiting customer sites.

We're more interested in attitude than licences.

You may already have warehouse experience, be working in logistics, or simply be looking for a career where you can learn new skills and progress.

Essential

• Full UK Driving Licence.


• FLT/Counterbalance Licence.


• Previous warehouse experience.


• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.


• Strong teamwork and communication skills.


• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.


• Awareness of Health \& Safety in the workplace.

• HGV Class C Licence.


• Driver CPC Card.


• Digital Tachograph Card.
