About Us
Warehouse Box UK is seeking a diligent and safety\-conscious Warehouse Operative to join our operations team. This is a multifaceted role encompassing order fulfilment, inbound logistics, materials handling, returns processing, and inventory control, suited to a candidate who is committed to operational excellence and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately fulfil customer orders through efficient picking and packing processes, in line with productivity and quality targets
- Unload incoming containers and deliveries in accordance with established safety and handling procedures
- Operate forklift trucks (FLT) to facilitate the movement, loading and storage of stock
- Manage the returns process, including inspection, documentation and restocking of items
- Support day\-to\-day stock management, including inventory checks, replenishment and accurate record\-keeping
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and internal procedures at all times
- Identify and report equipment faults, damaged stock, or safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and management to achieve departmental objectives and deadlines
- Demonstrable experience within a warehouse or logistics environment is desirable; comprehensive training will be provided
- Valid and current FLT licence (counterbalance/reach – please specify licence type held)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with colleagues and management
- Strong physical stamina, with the capability to lift, carry and manoeuvre heavy items throughout the working shift
- Sound working knowledge of health and safety practices within a warehouse setting
- Competent literacy and numeracy skills for accurate stock documentation and reporting
- Ability to maintain accuracy and efficiency while working to time\-sensitive targets
- A reliable, punctual and professional approach to work, whether operating independently or as part of a team
- Proficiency with handheld scanning devices or warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous; training provided
