Warehouse Operative

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team who can keep pace with a fast\-moving fulfilment environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities, including materials handling, stock management, and order fulfilment. Responsibilities

• Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch, working to daily KPIs


• Handling materials safely and efficiently across the warehouse


• Operating warehouse machinery, including pallet trucks (full training provided)


• Managing stock using our WMS and keeping inventory accurate


• Loading and unloading lorries and containers


• Conducting quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards


• Adapting quickly when order volumes or priorities change


• Organising stock storage areas to optimise space utilisation


• Assisting with shipping and receiving tasks to maintain accurate inventory records


• Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe


• Following health \& safety procedures (training provided to get you fully compliant)

Skills

• At least 1 year's experience working in a warehouse


• Proven experience in materials handling and warehouse operations


• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous


• Strong understanding of shipping \& receiving procedures


• Experience in picking \& packing orders efficiently and accurately


• Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physical tasks regularly


• Mechanical knowledge or experience with warehouse equipment is a plus


• Attention to detail for quality control checks and stock accuracy


• Organised with good time management skills to meet deadlines


• Sharp attention to detail; accuracy matters as much as speed


• Able to stay calm and focused under pressure


• Quick to pick up new processes and systems


• Reliable timekeeping and consistent attendance


• Comfortable working towards KPIs and targets
