Warehouse Operative

WE ARE HIRING

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Operative for daily warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for materials handling, logistics, prep work for production and stock takes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong warehousing skills.

Duties

• Daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, and storage operations.


• Coordinate materials handling processes to optimise space utilisation and workflow efficiency.


• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including heavy lifting procedures and hazard identification.


• Collaborate with third\-party logistics (3PL) providers to streamline shipping and receiving processes.


• Monitor logistics activities to ensure timely dispatches and deliveries in accordance with schedules.


• Maintain accurate documentation related to shipments, inventory levels, and operational reports.


• Report on wastage


• Forecasting ingredient/packaging requirements with the Warehouse Supervisor


• Weekly and monthly stock takes

Experience

• Experience in warehousing roles within a logistics or distribution environment and food manufacturing.


• Knowledge of shipping \& receiving procedures, including 3PL operations.


• Mechanical knowledge advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues.


• Physical capability for heavy lifting tasks and prolonged periods of standing or walking within a warehouse setting.


• Working within audit regulations with regards to specification sheets for ingredients and packaging and reporting issues

Must have Forklift and Reach Truck licence and driving licence.

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will be required to work across multiple sites in Northallerton. Salary dependent upon experience.

Job Type: Full\-time

Pay: From £13\.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Northallerton North DL6 2NG: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
