Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative and Engineer to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficient materials handling, stock organisation, and supporting shipping and receiving operations within a fast\-paced warehouse environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse management systems, mechanical knowledge, and quality control processes. The Warehouse Operative will play a vital part in ensuring smooth operations and maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Handling materials safely and efficiently, including loading and unloading goods from lorries using appropriate equipment such as forklifts.
- Operating forklift trucks and other warehouse machinery in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Managing stock levels through picking, packing, stocking, and organising items within the warehouse.
- Utilising warehouse management systems to track inventory movements accurately.
- Build and breakdown of fitness equipment
- Maintenance of fitness equipment on site
- Assisting with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring correct documentation and timely dispatch of goods.
- Conducting quality control checks to verify product integrity and compliance with company standards.
- Performing mechanical tasks related to equipment maintenance or troubleshooting when necessary.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.
- Supporting team members with general warehouse duties such as load \& unload activities and stock replenishment.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics is highly desirable.
- Skills in materials handling, picking \& packing, stocking, and load \& unload procedures.
- Mechanical knowledge a bonus
- Valid forklift licence or experience operating forklift trucks is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with warehouse equipment is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for quality control tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
- Good physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks as required.
