Warehouse Operative (11am to 3pm - Monday to Friday)

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of goods within our warehouse environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience or those eager to develop their skills in materials handling, shipping, and inventory management. Responsibilities

• Handling materials efficiently, including loading and unloading goods from lorries and storage areas


• Operating warehouse equipment safely and effectively


• Managing stock levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure accurate inventory records


• Picking and packing orders accurately to meet customer requirements


• Assisting with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and labelling


• Stocking shelves and organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation


• Conducting quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards


• Performing mechanical tasks related to equipment maintenance or troubleshooting as needed


• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times within the warehouse environment

Skills

• Proven experience in warehousing, logistics, or materials handling is preferred


• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory software


• Strong understanding of shipping \& receiving procedures and documentation requirements


• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail for picking, packing, and stock organisation


• Mechanical knowledge beneficial for basic equipment maintenance or troubleshooting tasks


• Physical capability for heavy lifting and load/unload activities throughout the shift


• Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
