Warehouse Manager

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing all Warehouse operations, including inventory management, goods in / out, storage of stock with overall accountable of the efficiency of warehouse. This role will support the Branch Manager to develop best practices with all Flex\-R colleagues to achieve the highest standards of customer service, right first\-time pick rates, raising the profile of the Warehouse Operation whilst working in collaboration with Transport, Stock Control and Sales Teams to ensure the Warehouse Operation is optimized.

What you will be doing:

  • Vision \& Leadership Responsible for leading, coaching and developing a team of Warehouse Operatives, assigning tasks correctly and ensuring the team meet the required KPIs on a daily basis. Holding regular 1\-2\-1s with the teams to provide feedback on performance whilst maintaining a proactive approach through delegation and empowerment.

  • Budget Management In partnership with the Branch Manager regularly review third party costs by contributing effective workforce planning, reducing agency spend and reduce T2P labor requirements.

  • Health, Safety \& Environment \- To lead by example in actively promoting and inspiring a culture of health and safety where every team member's contribution and safety is considered critical.

  • Warehouse Management Accountable for the design and maintenance of an efficient warehouse layout that maximizes space and supports seamless movement of goods. Lead and oversee stock takes as instructed by the Branch Manager. Ensure materials are stored correctly in accordance with manufacturer guidance. Monitor warehouse performance to ensure all activities are completed in a timely and cost\-effective manner.

  • Service Improvement Drive the standards of service improvement completing route cause analysis and regular feedback to drive improved performance.

  • Compliance Responsible for ensuring compliance with all required training, ensuring operatives FLT, Reach Truck and other licenses as required are maintained and up to date.

  • Technology \& Systems utilize planning systems effectively to ensure efficient use of the workforce and analyze data to identify areas for improvement, ensuring that all colleagues are using the systems correctly.

  • Behaviours The Warehouse Supervisor must role model Flex\-R behaviours; Be Bold, Be Flexible \& Agile, Make a Positive Difference and engender a culture which promotes high standards of business ethics and compliance with corporate requirements. Ensure that all employees are treated in a fair and equitable manner.

What you will bring:
  • Good understanding for IT software package including Microsoft office

  • Budget management awareness

  • Evidence of improving Warehouse effectiveness

  • Leading and managing performance of the Warehouse Team and workforce planning effectively

  • Co\-operation with other branch staff in co\-ordinating logistics requirements

  • Flexibility in the role

  • Problem solving and skills and strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
