To oversee the warehouse and transport functions for Forward Education and IP Enclosures. You will be an experienced, hands\-on Warehouse Manager with a strong background in leading warehouse and driver teams, ensuring high standards of safety, efficiency and customer service are consistently maintained.
Main Purpose of Job
To lead and manage the warehouse function for Forward Education and IP Enclosures, ensuring the efficient flow of goods from receipt through to delivery.
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the safe and effective operation of the warehouse, including stock management, space utilisation, storage systems, picking, packing and dispatch, alongside the coordination of our transport and delivery operations.
Leading the warehouse and driver teams, the role will ensure we have the right people, processes and capacity in place to deliver an efficient and reliable service, ensuring we consistently deliver on our customer promise:

Through strong, hands\-on leadership and continuous improvement, the Warehouse Manager will drive operational efficiency, maintain high standards of safety and accuracy, and play a key role in delivering the exceptional service our customers expect.
Main Areas of Responsibility
- Take overall responsibility for the day\-to\-day warehouse and delivery operation across Forward Education and IP Enclosures, ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, packed and dispatched safely, accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure warehouse and driver resources are effectively planned and deployed to meet operational demand and customer requirements.
- Lead and manage warehouse and driver employees, including HR, performance management and resolving any HR queries/issues as relevant.
- Manage warehouse capacity, layout, storage systems and stock flow, working closely with Procurement to plan incoming stock and maximise space utilisation and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the safe and effective use of warehouse racking, handling equipment and other operational assets, ensuring appropriate inspections, servicing and maintenance are completed.
- Oversee the day\-to\-day operation of the company vehicle fleet, ensuring vehicles are available, appropriately maintained and effectively utilised.
- Plan and optimise delivery routes, driver allocation and vehicle utilisation across company vans and lorries, balancing the use of the in\-house fleet and external couriers to provide an efficient and cost\-effective delivery service.
- Ensure customer delivery requirements are effectively managed, including next\-day and timed deliveries, DDS requirements, part\-order deliveries, orders held pending full fulfilment and other customer\-specific delivery instructions.
- Monitor stock and warehouse accuracy, on\-time and in\-full delivery performance, productivity and transport performance, implementing improvements to increase efficiency and control operational costs.
- Resolve day\-to\-day operational challenges relating to stock, capacity, staffing, vehicles, routes and customer deliveries, making appropriate decisions within the scope of the role.
- Work collaboratively with Customer Service, Sales, Procurement and other teams to ensure warehouse and delivery operations support customer requirements and wider business objectives.
- Support wider operational projects and business initiatives as required.
- Coordinate external servicing, maintenance and repairs relating to warehouse equipment and vehicles where required.
- Provide hands\-on operational support during busy periods or periods of reduced staffing.
- Undertake other reasonable duties consistent with the level and scope of the role.
- Contribute positively to the wider objectives and performance of Forward Education and IP Enclosures.
- Work collaboratively across departments, sharing information and resolving issues that impact customers or operational performance.

- Provide clear and consistent leadership and line management of the warehouse and driver teams, ensuring agreed objectives, standards and performance expectations are achieved.

Working days are Monday to Friday; working hours are 07:30 AM – 17:00 PM with a 30\-minute unpaid lunch break.
Working hours may change throughout the year to suit the needs of the company, including cover for shift workers when required.
You may be required to work additional hours at times to achieve tasks required.
Annual leave allowance is 22–25 days per annum (22 days for less than one year’s service, up to 25 days for more than three years’ service) plus bank holidays, with the opportunity to buy up to 5 days of unpaid leave per annum.
Pay: £45,000\.00\-£50,000\.00 per year
