The Warehouse Manager will lead and co\-ordinate warehouse operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and safety. Working closely with the DC Warehouse and Stock Manager, you’ll oversee daily activities, manage team performance, and maintain high standards across all processes. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a hands\-on approach to problem\-solving.
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Supervise day\-to\-day warehouse operations, including goods\-in, goods\-out, and stock control.
- Maintain impeccable warehouse standards, ensuring stock is organized and handled correctly.
- Monitor team performance and productivity, providing guidance and support where needed.
- Assist in implementing workflow improvements to maximize efficiency and reduce errors.
- Lead by example in compliance, setting the highest safety and environmental standards across the warehouse.
- Ensure adherence to company safety systems and procedures, maintaining a safe and compliant workplace at all times.
- Support staff knowledge and awareness through training, engagement, and clear communication.
- Motivate and lead the warehouse team to achieve operational targets.
- Act as a key point of contact between the warehouse team and management.
- Communicate operational priorities clearly and ensure team members are informed of updates on stock, safety, and performance.
- Ensure stock management processes are followed accurately.
- Investigate discrepancies promptly and implement corrective actions.
- Promote and uphold the highest standards of Health \& Safety, including active participation in “Near Miss” reporting to help maintain a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues, and our customers.
- Always maintain strong security awareness, ensuring company assets and customer goods are protected.
- Present yourself in a clean, tidy, and professional manner, always wearing the correct company uniform.
- Follow the correct procedures for reporting sickness or absence in a timely and responsible manner.
- Ensure appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is always worn, in line with company policy and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with the wider branch team, including the APP (if applicable), to support smooth daily operations.
- Be flexible and willing to support other areas of Lords Group Trading when required, including temporary assignments in different departments or branches.
- Carry out any additional duties that are reasonable and within the scope of the role, contributing to the overall success of the team.
Essential Criteria
Education \& Qualifications
- Good standard of English and Maths
- Minimum 2 years in a similar role
- Strong product knowledge
- Experience with warehouse procedures and best practices
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem\-solving abilities
- Effective planning, critical thinking, and decision\-making
- Ability to manage conflict fairly and professionally
- Committed to safety, customer focus, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Supply Chain or Business Administration qualification (or willingness to train)
- Advanced warehouse operations knowledge (stock, audits, product care)
- Experience with WMS/ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics 365, Oracle)
- Adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn
