Warehouse Assistant (Heavy Kit Picking Assistant) - start immediately
Jongor Hire is a family business who have been providing high\-quality catering equipment and walk in Cold Rooms to businesses for over 50 years. We fulfil over 2,000 orders per year, from supplying hire equipment to events such as Chelsea Flower Show, Royal Ascot, Silverstone and The Open Golf, to supplying temporary kitchen units to the NHS and National Grid.
Working as part of the Warehouse team, our Warehouse Assistants will work in the picking section, picking hire kitchen equipment such as ovens and fridges. This is a physically demanding job, our kit can be palletised .
You need to be able to commute to our warehouse in central Bristol. We are looking for people who can work the following time pattern:
Monday to Friday 7\.30am \- 4pm
Overtime is available \-
- Hours worked over 40 is paid at x 1\.25
- Weekend working and bank holiday working is paid at x 1\.5
· Picking orders of equipment ensuring picked appliances are scanned out and have the correct accessories
· Understanding picking lists and spreadsheets
· Checking returned items for damage / missing accessories
· Working to deadlines and prioritising workloads as an individual and as part of a team
· Putting away cleaned and tested or returned items in the correct warehouse location
· Liaising with the heavy cleaning team, maintenance engineers and transport team to ensure kit turnarounds are on schedule and picking is completed on time
Complete any other tasks as required by the Warehouse Manager including assisting with heavy kit stock takes, cleaning and preparing equipment and accessories (such as stainless steel tables, sinks, taps and dishwasher sprays.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
· Identify our product lines
· Work well within a team environment and independently
· Read and understand picking lists and spreadsheets
· Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Listen to and action instructions accurately and to the required timescales
· Demonstrate good organisational skills and attention to detail
· Complete work of a very physical nature, including manual handling and the use of manual handling aids
· Previous warehouse experience desirable although training can be provided.
Pay: £12\.71 per hour
