The Role:
We are looking for a Warehouse Assistant to join our busy team. In this role, you will support the warehouse operations by picking, packing, and sorting goods. You will use tools such as chop saws and drills, and assist in maintaining an organized, efficient workspace. A full driving license is essential, and you will need experience driving a long\-wheelbase van. Warehouse experience in a fast\-paced environment is a must, and familiarity with tools like drills and saws is required. Forklift experience is preferred.

Duties

• Execute picking and packing tasks to prepare orders for dispatch


• Assist in shipping and receiving activities, including checking deliveries against orders


• Ideally \- Operate forklifts safely for loading and unloading goods


• Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse


• Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times


• Collaborate with team members to build efficient workflows and maintain a clean working environment


• Using woodwork tools such as chop saw and hand tools


• Assisting with loading and unloading vans and stock movement.


• Maintaining a tidy, organized warehouse environment.


• Driving a long\-wheelbase van for deliveries.


• Ensuring timely and accurate order processing.


• Making deliveries to customer when needed \- Loading and unloading

Experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse setting is essential


• Skills in materials handling and knowledge of shipping/receiving processes are beneficial


• Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment is desirable


• A strong ability to work as part of a team while also being self\-motivated


• Previous warehouse experience in a fast\-paced setting.


• Experience using tools such as chop saws and drills.


• Ability to pick, pack, and sort efficiently.


• Full driving license and experience driving a long\-wheelbase van.


• Forklift experience is preferred.


• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.


• Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
