Warehouse Assistant
Location: EST Office \- Event Support Team, School Lane, Exhall CV7 9GE
Pay: £14\.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
Job Type: Full\-time hours/ Temp to Perm Contract
Working Hours: Predominantly Monday to Friday (occasional weekends required)
Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable, hands\-on Warehouse \& Logistics Operative to support the day\-to\-day running of our warehouse, yard, and office site in Exhall.
This is a varied, practical role covering warehouse duties, stock handling, basic site upkeep, and operational support. You'll help keep the site organised, safe, and running smoothly, working closely with the wider team.
There are periods of lone working in this role, so you should be comfortable managing your own tasks, staying on top of your workload, and using your initiative to sort out day\-to\-day issues as they come up.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Duties
- Help keep the warehouse and yard tidy, organised, and running efficiently
- Store materials and equipment correctly and keep them accessible
- Move stock around the warehouse as required, including putting pallets up onto racking and bringing them down safely
- Load and unload vehicles using a forklift and reach truck
- Assist with regular stock and equipment checks
- Suggest improvements to layout and day\-to\-day processes where you spot them
- Provide warehouse support to the events support team as needed
- Support other third parties based on\-site with their warehouse and stock requirements
- Coordinate day\-to\-day with different teams using the warehouse to keep operations running smoothly
- Carry out general tidying and basic upkeep of the office, warehouse, and yard
- Complete minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed
- Flag any larger repair or servicing needs to management
- Keep all areas clean, safe, and secure
- Follow site health \& safety standards at all times
- Work confidently and safely on your own during lone\-working periods
- Carry out key\-holder duties, including opening/locking up and basic security checks
- Use your initiative to deal with day\-to\-day issues, escalating anything that needs management input
- Help keep company vehicles and equipment clean, organised, and in good condition
- Report any vehicle or equipment issues promptly
- Take vehicles to and from garages for servicing or repairs when required
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Forklift licence (essential)
- Reach truck licence (essential)
- Previous experience in a warehouse, site, or similar hands\-on role (preferred but not essential)
- Good organisational skills and a practical, problem\-solving mindset
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload, but also working well as part of a team
- Comfortable with lone\-working responsibilities
- Physically fit, as the role involves manual handling, heavy lifting, and hands\-on work

Occasional weekend work may be required depending on business needs. The role includes both on\-site and off\-site duties, so flexibility is important.
