We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Warehouse Administrator to join our logistics and warehouse team. This role is key to ensuring the smooth, compliant, and cost\-effective transportation of goods across the UK and internationally.
You will work closely with customers, suppliers, warehouse personnel, and the sales office to coordinate shipments, manage transport documentation, support customer service activities, and help maintain efficient logistics operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with logistics or transport administration experience who enjoys working in a fast\-paced environment and thrives on organisation and problem\-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispatch customer orders in line with lead times
- Create and complete transport documentation including delivery notes, collection notes, and manifests
- Produce export documentation including commercial invoices and customs paperwork
- Organise UK and international freight shipments
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport providers
- Answer incoming emails and telephone calls professionally
- Maintain and update transport registers and records
- Coordinate logistics pick and pack priorities with warehouse staff
- Monitor freight costs and support cost reduction initiatives
- Support the sales administration team with customer service and order processing
- Ensure KPI targets are achieved and reports completed weekly/monthly
- Work collaboratively across warehouse, logistics, and sales departments
- Previous experience in a logistics, warehouse administration, or transport coordination role
- Experience handling overseas shipments and export/customs documentation
- Strong customer service and administration skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
- Competent using Microsoft Office packages including Teams
- Positive, professional, and collaborative approach
- Experience using ERP systems or Sage
- Lean Six Sigma knowledge
- MHE Licence
- Level 5 IoSCM or equivalent Supply Chain qualification
