Ward Clerk - L20
Job Summary
---------------
Ward L20 is a 10 bedded ward looking after patients with complex cardiac conditions. It is fast paced with a quick turnover.
Due to a staff vacancy we are looking for an additional ward clerk to support the existing Ward clerk as well as the nursing team.
Experience of administrative and office duties are advantageous, with preference being given to candidates that have worked within a hospital setting.
Applicants should be keen to work as part of a team, have some basic IT/PC skills but most importantly be motivated to do the job.
Support and training will be given to the successful applicant.

Why you should join our Team

To undertake administrative duties at ward level including the accurate and timely recording of patient activity data on Trust systems. To undertake clerical and related duties on the ward and enable Sister/Charge Nurse and other ward staff to concentrate more freely on direct patient care. This will involve considerable liaison with other departments and wards on behalf of the ward staff.
The jobholder will contribute to the maintenance of an environment for effective care.

Literate/Numerate
IT Skills
Clerical Experience (Desirable)
Willingness to undertake further professional development and training
Experience in dealing with members of the public in an working environment
A good team player, with the ability to work in a diverse and demanding environment in a multidisciplinary team
Excellent communication skills both verbally and written that are clear and concise
Effective interpersonal skills
Motivated, Reliable and Adaptable
